Name:
Emily
Breed: Labrador Retriever/Beagle mix
Gender: Female
Born: January 18, 2008
Size: 45-50 pounds adult |
|
Emily is an adorable girl with a sunny disposition. She is the social director for her foster siblings, and is always right in the middle of all the puppy activities. She loves toys, and is always exploring her environment for new things to play with. She is bright, alert, and very social. She loves people, and is already very devoted to her humans. While playful and affectionate, Emily is also mellow and independent, and after a short period of cuddling she's likely to wander off to lie in her bed and chew on a tennis ball. This little girl should be relatively "low-maintenance"; and should be right at home in almost any environment. She just needs a loving home to make sure she gets plenty of play-time and lots of belly-rubs!

Gender: Female
Born: October 23, 2006
Size: 60 pounds |
|
Simone is a lovely girl, both in looks and personality. Although her mom is Dalmatian, Simone's dad is "rumored" to be a neighborhood Weimeraner. She is tall and stately, and promises to be a strikingly beautiful adult dog. Simone is very friendly, social, and is just as sweet as she is beautiful. She is not overly active, and even at her young age, enjoys snoozing on the sofa with her foster dad for an afternoon nap. Simone is housetrained to a doggie door, and could easily be transitioned to a "potty" schedule. She loves other dogs, and would do well with cats and other animals. Simone is up to date on all vetting, has been microchipped, and eagerly awaits having her own special family.

She would do well as the only dog in the family or with an easygoing, male canine partner.

Name:
Kate
Breed: Gordon Setter mix
Gender: Female
Born: June 2007
Size: 40 pounds adult |
|
Kate’s an endearing, affectionate charm machine, both easy going and eager to please. She has a physical beauty that’s impossible to capture in a photo. Generally ladylike and well-mannered indoors Kate can transform into a real rabble-rouser when playing outside. A good game of fetch is a winner with Kate and she'll tug the toy if you initiate the game. Kate has that desirable on/off switch, able to go from rabble-rouser outside to cuddling on the couch indoors. A tenderhearted and gentle girl, Kate will make a desirable addition to some lucky family or single. Kate does well with other dogs, but, a meeting would be a must to insure the right canine fit. Kate will be easy to train: She adapts easily to new situations and learns quickly. Kate loves the outdoors and walks beautifully on a leash. Whether a family with children over age seven or a single, Kate is truly a dog who has to be met to be appreciated. Come appreciate Kate.

Name:
Chryssy
Breed: Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Gender: Female
Born: May 2007
Size: ~50-60 pounds adult |
Chryssy is truly a miracle dog. She was rescued only 20 minutes before being euthanized. She was not going to have a second chance because of a severe injury to her rear leg and paw. Her foster mom saw a picture of Chryssy’s sad little eyes and couldn’t resist providing her with that second chance. Chryssy is scheduled to have her leg amputated very soon. It was too injured to save. She'll feel so much better when it no longer hurts her.
Chryssy touches the hearts of everyone who meets her and is a wonderful ambassador for pets that may be a little bit ‘different’ physically. She loves everyone she meets- both human and furry. She is blossoming into such a beautiful and well behaved young lady.
Please consider adding this great girl to your family. She deserves yet another chance!

Name:
Ginny
Breed: Carolina Dog/Terrier mix
Gender: Female
Born: August 2005
Size: 25 pounds |
|
Ginny is an adorable 25 pound girl with the cutest little underbite, and an unmistakable zest for life. She really enjoys human attention and gets along great with other dogs. Ginny is very visually alert, and her absolute favorite outside activity is chasing squirrels. Although she would never hurt one, she enjoys 'admiring' them from a distance, and becomes fixated on their every movement. Ginny should go to a home with a fenced yard since she will chase a squirrel as far as they will take her. ;-) Another activity that she really loves is playing chase with her foster siblings. She's a quick and agile girl, and has the movements of an Olympic athlete! Ginny is housetrained, and does not have potty accidents, nor is she destructive in the house. Because she is active and has such enthusiasm for life, she would be happier in a home where she would not be left alone for long hours each day. Ideally, she'd like a home with a lively canine playmate to keep her company. If you are looking for a girl who can keep you entertained and amused, then you have found her. Ginny is heartworm negative, is on heartworm prevention, and is up to date on all vetting.

Name: Samantha aka "Wiggle-Butt"
Breed:Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler mix
Gender: Female
Born: June 2005
Size: 65 pounds
|
|
This great girl would love to be your loyal and devoted companion! She is happy, fun-loving, and always wears a smile. Samantha is very affectionate, and adores her humans. She is completely housetrained, is not destructive, and loves sleeping in her foster parents' bedroom n the foot of the bed. Her indoor manners are quite good, and she'd be the perfect companion to share your home. She gets along well with all the other dogs in her foster home, both small and large. Samantha would rather have your attention than anything, and loves nothing better than spending time with her humans. She will patiently wait for you while you're out, but once you're home, be prepared for a happy dance and lots of tail wags. She is not a dog that will settle for sleeping in the laundry room... she just wants to be where her people are. Samantha adores children, but because of her size and her exuberance, she should probably not be in a family with small children who are not dog-savvy. Samantha would love to attend obedience training, and would surely be the star of her class. She's very bright, and can learn anything as long as treats and praise are given. Samantha has been spayed, is up-to-date on all vetting, and is looking for a home where her unconditional love and loyalty will be returned 110%!

Name:
Lila
Breed: German Shepherd/Hound Mix
Gender: Female
Born: January 1, 2007
Size: 60-70 pounds adult |
|
Lila is the ultimate family dog who is drawn to people like a magnet. She adores the company of children and loves to be by their side. While fairly active and exhuberant outdoors, Lila has nice inside manners and is calm indoors. She sleeps at the foot of her foster family's bed, and enjoys all the attention she can get. She loves life and is a joy to have around. Lila is a happy girl who loves nothing more than being with her favorite people, and getting lots of loving attention. Lila is fond of all the dogs in her foster home, but would obviously prefer to be an only dog so that she wouldn't have to share the affections of her family. If you want a steadfast, loyal companion, and a playmate for your children, Lila may just be your girl. She is a large girl, though, and her size and enthusiasm for life might frighten a small child or a child who has not been around many larger dogs. She has been microchipped, spayed and is up to date on all vetting, and is on monthly heartworm prevention. Lila will need basic obedience training to help with her leash skills, sit, stay, etc. She would also be best suited for a home with a fenced yard.

Patch
Breed: Whippet/Dalmatian Mix
Gender: Male
Born: October 23, 2006
Size: ~60 pounds adult |
| Patch is a sweet, affectionate, sensitive boy who loves the attention of his foster parents. Like a shy child hiding behind mom's skirt, he is a little hesitant around people he doesn't know, and it takes him just a little longer than most to adjust to new situations; but, he is such a wonderful boy that it's worth a little effort to become his trusted friend. He is just SO sweet. Patch is reliably housetrained, uses the doggie door consistently, and sleeps quietly through the night on his foster parents' bed, usually snuggled up to one or the other of them. He is patiently waiting for his wonderful forever family to come along so that he can have the home and family that he deserves. Young children would probably be a little much for him unless they are quiet, sensitive children. Patch is up to date on all vetting, has been microchipped, and is waiting for his forever home.
