Application Form
We at Best Buddies thank you for considering our rescue as a place to find your new pet. We would appreciate very much if you fill out our application so that we can get to know you and help make the best possible match for you and for our foster animal. Our primary focus is placing our animals in a well suited home with a family willing to commit to a lifetime of love and care. Note that completing this application in no way obligates you to adopt one of our animals, neither does it guarantee that one of our animals will be placed in your home. Please fill out the application as completely as possible.

Some animals may need some extra time and patience to adjust to yet another new home. Some may need housetraining or other types of training, and some may just need a little extra love and patience. All animals, regardless of their background and history, go through an adjustment period when they go to a new environment. There will be a period of a few days, weeks or in some cases even months during which your new pet’s personality is emerging and growing while you get to know one another. In order to help you and your pet get through this transition period as smoothly as possible, we will help you in any way possible. Please remember that this is a stressful time for the animal. Hopefully we will be able to work together to make this a lifetime relationship for you and your rescued pet.

Best Buddies makes a lifetime commitment to each animal it rescues and places in an adoptive home.. We never want these animals to be homeless again. To ensure this, our adoption contract requires any person who adopts an animal from our program to return it to us for re-homing should they ever find, for any reason, they are no longer able to provide it with a home.

We pledge to aid in reducing the number of homeless animals by requiring all animals adopted from us to be spayed or neutered. Furthermore, we will only adopt to homes where all of the current pets are spayed or neutered.

We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone for any reason.
