Once in a while a dog comes along that steals your heart, and you say to yourself…this is the perfect dog! Well, Lincoln is just that dog. He is mannerly, has never met a stranger, and is good with everyone he comes in contact with…be it a child, adult, dog, or cat…he even likes horses! He is virtually bomb-proof and is the best natured boy around. He loves going for walks, and we don’t even have to use a leash…he stays right with us. He is good with other dogs, but seems to prefer being around his people. He will sit by you and watch TV or hang out with you while you run errands, or do chores. He is a great companion. He is still young, however, and is active. He’d be great for a family that does outdoor activities or someone that loves to hike. Come meet this sweetie, you will love him ! He is neutered, microchipped, on Heartworm preventative and up to date on all vaccines.

Hannah is the best bed-fellow and all around companion you'll find. She is still just a little hesitant about leash walks, but that will change with a little practice. Hannah is friendly and social to people, and gets along well with other dogs. She is housetrained, is not destructive, and has good inside manners. She likes children who are gentle and kind to her. Hannah has been spayed, is up to date on all vetting, and is on monthly Heartworm prevention.

	Name: Patch Breed: Whippet/Dalmatian Mix Gender: Male Born: October 23, 2006 Size: ~60 pounds adult
Patch is a sweet, affectionate, sensitive boy who loves the attention of his foster parents. Like a shy child hiding behind mom's skirt, he is a little hesitant around people he doesn't know, and it takes him just a little longer than most to adjust to new situations; but, he is such a wonderful boy that it's worth a little effort to become his trusted friend. He is just SO sweet. Patch is reliably housetrained, uses the doggie door consistently, and sleeps quietly through the night on his foster parents' bed, usually snuggled up to one or the other of them. He is patiently waiting for his wonderful forever family to come along so that he can have the home and family that he deserves. Young children would probably be a little much for him unless they are quiet, sensitive children. Patch is up to date on all vetting, has been microchipped, and is waiting for his forever home.

Talulah is a beautiful, very intelligent, and highly trainable girl who has an unbridled enthusiasm for life and a passion for enjoying every moment of every day. A day without Talulah is like a day without sunshine! She is always ready for anything that might come along, and seems so grateful for every ounce of attention she gets. She will surely be a loyal and devoted companion to some lucky family. She is very friendly, has a nice temperament, and would do well with older children. She learns quickly and would excel in obedience training. Talulah is very good with other animals, both large and small. She would be the perfect running partner, and can be trusted off leash. She'd also make a great farm companion. Talulah can be trusted alone in the house and is not destructive. She is totally housetrained and never has accidents in the house. Because Talulah is large and energetic, she will require a calm, confident, and assertive human companion. Talulah has been spayed, and is up to date on all vetting. She is also on monthly heartworm prevention and has no known health problems.

They just don't get much cuter than this. Judo is a precious 30 pound boy who is confident, energetic, curious, and doesn't miss a thing. This boy loves to be in the midst of excitement, and he can be the life of the party. He is very intelligent, learns quickly, and when he doesn't understand something, he gets the most quizzical look on his face. His eye contact is good, and when he looks at you, it's almost as though he's trying to read your mind. Judo will need a fenced yard and either a doggy door, or someone who is to let him in and out for pottying. Judo has been neutered, is up to date on vetting, and is ready to go to his forever home.

Winnie is just about the sweetest little girl you will ever met. She absolutely melts when she gets attention and loves to give kisses to anyone willing to let her. She loves everyone she meets, dogs, kids, grownups…she doesn’t care, as long as she can get a belly rub. She is very laid back for a puppy and will play for a while, then its down for her nap. She is doing well with potty training, and is eager to please. She is not destructive but she does like to chew, so her foster mom makes sure she has her own things to chew on. She is up to date on her vaccines and worming and is spayed.

At 26 pounds, Bridget is a petite parcel of ultimate cuteness. She is confident without being cocky, and always sees the glass as totally full. In Bridget’s world, every day is a holiday, and waking every morning is reason enough to celebrate. She is adorably affectionate with people and she also enjoys the company of other dogs. Bridget loves to play with toys of all shapes and sizes and invites others to play in the game. Her motto is “Live and Let Live”: There’s not an ounce of ill will in this child. He loves other dogs and spends his days playing in the kennel yard with numerous dogs. He LOVES to chase tennis balls. Meet Earl the Pearl, best looking guy in town. Earl is a happy, fun loving go-getter with a personality that oozes with affection. This handsome, intelligent pooch is as high energy as they come, and is looking for a human partner in crime to run, hike, and play with. This guy is super athletic and runs with grace and ease. He’s also delightfully goofy and his brain and his legs don’t always connect, causing “crashes” on the stairs, coffee table, etc. Earl loves the beach and playing hide and seek with the ocean. He walks beautifully on a leash and is extremely attentive when you take him for public outings: There’s no lunging at strangers or other dogs when walking with Earl. Juneau is a special girl who has been in foster care since she was 8 weeks old. She is so well-behaved, you hardly notice she is in the room. She absolutely LOVES to run, and would be happy in a place where she had room to run. She seems to take to the water, although she hasn't been to the lake or ocean yet! She gets along with all her dog housemates, and loves hanging out with her pals. She may do better in a home with a dog companion. She has a quiet personality, so if you are looking for a rowdy dog she is not the one for you. She is a bit shy around people she meets, until she gets to know them. We are working on socialization to overcome some of her shyness. We know the right home is out there for her. If you have the patience to transform a lovely shy girl into a more confident dog, come meet her and see if she's the girl for you.

Sydney is smart, curious and alert. Since she is mostly Shepherd, Sydney would do best with an experienced dog owner. He is doing well at potty training .Mealtime is his favorite part of the day, when he is not exploring the big outdoors. He just needs home to call his own.Willy is UTD on vaccinations and he will be neutered when age appropriate.

Ginny is an adorable 25 pound girl with the cutest little underbite, and an unmistakable zest for life. She really enjoys human attention and gets along great with other dogs. Ginny is very visually alert, and her absolute favorite outside activity is chasing squirrels. Although she would never hurt one, she enjoys 'admiring' them from a distance, and becomes fixated on their every movement. Ginny should go to a home with a fenced yard since she will chase a squirrel as far as they will take her. ;-) Another activity that she really loves is playing chase with her foster siblings. She's a quick and agile girl, and has the movements of an Olympic athlete! Ginny is housetrained, and does not have potty accidents, nor is she destructive in the house. Because she is active and has such enthusiasm for life, she would be happier in a home where she would not be left alone for long hours each day. Ideally, she'd like a home with a lively canine playmate to keep her company. If you are looking for a girl who can keep you entertained and amused, then you have found her. Ginny is heartworm negative, is on heartworm prevention, and is up to date on all vetting.

Are you ready for an adorable dog from the tip of his wirey nose to the end of his wagging tail? Then Huck is the one for you. He loves to explore and see new things. Then he'll climb into his favorite chair to curl up for a long nap. He loves people and dogs and would love a family of his very own.

Skippy is an adorable little lap dog who loves to gor for walks. His favorite thing in life is to rest his chin on your knee or chest and gaze into your eyes! When you pet him, he gently wags his tail with appreciation. Skippy really enjoys traveling around town and he rides VERY well in the car. He gets along fabulously with other dogs and does fine with cats (except when they run, he loves to chase them!!!) When he's excited, Skippy likes to jump up and "nibble" on your fingers. For this reason, he probably wouldn't do well with young children. Skippy is vaccinated, neutered, housetrained and crate trained.

Booker T. Stubbs is the name. He is a special little fellow. He loves attention and loves playing with his siblings. He loves to give puppy kisses too. Zeke is off the charts in puppy cuteness! His favorite activities are wrestling with his foster siblings, snuggling with foster family members, playing chase, and napping. He is very outgoing and friendly, and his breed mix of Lab and Border Collie has resulted in him being very smart and trainable but without the high drive and high energy level that border collies are known for. Once he's finished growing, he'll make a fine running pal for a jogger who needs a companion on those daily runs. In the meantime, he'll be a great frisbee and ball fetching buddy. This little guy is a big dog in disguise. He’s very sure of himself and quite the comedian. His big eyes and ears give him the funniest expressions. He loves to play with other dogs and with people. If you let him, he will snuggle under the covers in your bed for a nice long sleep.

Rupert is truly a special boy looking for a very special home. He came to us absolutely terrified of people, but is learning to trust a little more each day. He'll romp and play with his puppy pals. He'll even give you a tail wag when you speak his name. Rupert will need someone very patient and loving that will continue to work with him daily. If you want to help rebuild this guy's faith in people, then he could really use your help.

The ideal home for Juliette would be with an active single adult, couple, or family that could provide regular exercise, (such as running, dog park), training and companionship. She is a graceful athlete and would be a wonderful candidate for dog sports such as agility, to give her purpose and focus. She would do well as an only dog or with a canine partner.

Devon likes nothing more than to please his foster mom. He is very well behaved, and just melts when he gets attention. He has the most beautiful brown coat, and sweetest eyes. He LOVES the water and will find any puddle in a mile radius to romp in. He is great with all dogs and humans he meets. He just needs someone that wants unconditional love and a forever home of his own.

A kind and loving gentle giant is he. Moose has a big frame and an even bigger heart. He loves to go for long walks and is leash trained to walk at his owner’s pace without pulling. Moose befriends everyone he meets with childlike enthusiasm. He enjoys the company of children as he’s just a big child himself. Big is the key word here: Because of his size and youthful exuberance, he is recommended for families with children aged seven and above. Moose loves to engage in water activities and would be well-suited for an active family who enjoys the same. A fenced yard is a must so Moose can run freely within the safety of an enclosed area. He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and housetrained.

He currently is in a multi-dog foster home, and gets along beautifully with all of his foster siblings. Buster is gentle and seems to have all the positive traits of his breed. Once she hits the sand, Kate is off like a shot, loping like a deer towards the surf. She raises her nose to take in all the scents and sounds of the shoreline and enjoy every second in the sand! The marvelous thing about Kate is that she has that desirable on/off switch, able to go from rabble-rouser outside to cuddling on the couch indoors. She walks beautifully on a leash and is reliable off-leash once she becomes familiar with her surroundings. It was too injured to save. She'll feel so much better when it no longer hurts her. She really enjoys being around people, and loves to go for car rides. She is a mellow girl, and would be a great "couch potato" companion. With each bite, the nose goes bump, and in slides dinner! While many Jacks are bold and fearless, Jasper is almost bashful. He is appropriately submissive to dogs and people alike, but by no means afraid. Jasper adores romping with dogs of all sizes, and will joyfully play by himself if no one else is in the mood. Evidently, they have not had any leash training, therefore, they will require an adopter who is patient, kind, and willing to spend time working on those skills. They will require a home with a secure fenced yard. Both Izzy and Jake have very sweet, gentle temperaments, and will be wonderful lifelong companions.

Elliot is 10 weeks old and just the smartest little guy you will meet. He learned the doggie door the first day he was with us, and has picked up on potty training already. He is small, and we don’t expect him to get very large. He would do well in a home with older children, or someone that would be home with him during the day. The best new home for her would include a friendly dog to play with, perhaps a fenced back yard, but definitely an active owner who is willing to take her through Canine Good Citizen or similar training. Her housebreaking is reasonable, but she will need to have it polished by a calm, patient individual when she moves into a new home.

Bobby is a wonderful companion for his foster family, and is a great playmate for all his foster siblings. He is sweet and affectionate, and "talks" when he really wants your attention and is not getting it. Although he has had no formal leash training, he does quite well walking on leash. Bobby is friendly with cats, and although a little anxious about larger unfamiliar dogs, he is friendly to all dogs he knows. Bobby is not destructive in the house, and has good inside manners. He is a master of the doggie door, and is housetrained. He has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccines, and is just waiting to have a permanent home of his own with a loving family. Bobby would be best suited for a nice calm household.

In addition to being a beautiful puppy, Lucy is sweet, affectionate, playful, and would make a wonderful family member. She is current on her vaccinations and will be adopted with a mandatory spay contract. She will be the star of her puppy training class as long as her owners don't give in to her "puppy dog" eyes. She's mastered "cute" already. She is crate trained and working on her housebreaking, but be assured her new family will need to be consistent with her house training since she is a young puppy. Given this, we will not adopt her to homes with young children.

He is not "pushy" or demanding, but absolutely adores the attention of his people. He has the sweet gentle nature of a Basset Hound, and the loyalty and devotion of the Sharpei. Since he is a mix, he is not likely to have any of the health problems usually associated with pure breed dogs. He is a fawn colored, soft brush-coat Sharpei mix. Kojak has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, is on Heartworm prevention, and is on Frontline for flea and tick prevention. Kojak is approximately 1 year old. To look at his short legs and small size, you'd think he would weigh 35 to 40 pounds. At a recent trip to the vet, however, he tipped the scales at a whopping 59 pounds! Perhaps we should have named him "Tank" or "Sumo."

Boz is a teeny little guy with a huge personality. At the tender age of five, he is still a teenager by Chihuahua standards. Boz is lively, feisty and cheerful. While he enjoys the company of other canines, he is happiest when sharing his human’s lap. Boz is a wonderful and affectionate companion, and a great little kisser. This sweet guy would be ideal for “empty nesters” or seniors. Boz is not recommended for folks with children and would do best in a home with someone home most of the day. Chihuahua experience preferred. He is vaccinated, neutered, and housetrained.

Joy is a 25 lb beagle-something else mix with an easy care coat and a whole lot of charm. She coming running to her foster mom when she calls and enjoys snoozing in the sun. She's had an amaising turnaround since arriving at her foster home. She's about one year old as best we can guess. That's plenty young enough to still have puppy jags around the house but old enough to be housebroken and learn quickly the important things like sitting for treats and being quiet in her crate through the night. Joy is not a barky beagle. She alerts her foster family when someone comes to the door and she's your girl when the squirrels are bold enough to eat from the bird feeders. She would love a home where there is plenty of time to cuddle and she'd like to sleep in the bedroom with her person very much. She is fine with children over 5 ; maybe younger children if the home is calm and she knows no one will yell at her. She responds best to being spoken sweetly to and so wants to please her people. She would love to have a fenced yard because, yes, she has a beagle's nose and exploring outside is her favorite pastime.

Although his journey began in Louisiana, this laidback and easygoing fellow adapted quickly to life in his new surroundings. After surviving Hurricane Katrina, Nicholas arrived at his foster home unshaken and in high spirits. Nick is a handsome and gentle soul who is cheerful morning, noon and night. Sweet and attentive, Nick is happy at play or just laying around. He is a submissive lover who relishes any time spent with his humans. Just say his name, and Nick rolls on his back and begs for belly rubs. He is blissfully contented whomever he’s with, and Nick would be equally happy to share his life with a senior citizen or an active family with older children. He is vaccinated, neutered, and housetrained.

Dino is a stunning little man and a wonderful companion. He follows his foster mom throughout the day, while smiling and wagging his tail. Dino is intensely loyal and attached to his people, but not particularly trusting of strangers. He is a loving friend to his canine friends, and enjoys the company of kitty cats. Do not consider Dino if you have children under the age of 10 and/or are gone from the home for a good part of the day. Dino is vaccinated, neutered, and housetrained.

TeddyBear is a happy guy despite losing his home. He is netuered, housetrained and current on his vetting. Wonderful little boy, under 20lbs and ready for a great home. He is fine with dogs smaller then him, but we are not sure how he will do with bigger dogs yet. He is not suitable for homes using an invisible fence. A home check will be scheduled prior to adoption.

Polly is a gentle soul who enjoys the other dogs in her foster home, but would really love a home where she would get more attention and could be someone's constant companion. She has plenty of energy for outdoor activities, loves to use her front paws for "boxing," and would enjoy a playful canine pal, but she is mellow, calm, and easy-going indoors. She is a low shedder, and waits calmly at home while her people are away. She is a great little "bedfellow," and enjoys watching TV with her foster family in the evenings. She has been spayed, is heartworm negative, is on heartworm prevention, is current on all vetting, and is just waiting to join some lucky family. She would be an ideal companion for children over 5 years old, and for younger children if they are well supervised. Polly is one of those gentle spirits that everyone loves.

Ginger is beautiful inside and out. She is about 28 lbs, housebroken, current on her vetting and will be spayed prior to adoption. She is a beagle/spaniel mix and has the best of both breeds; she's affectionate, not a barker and does very well with other dogs. She would love a home with adults or respectful older children and we are sure she'd return all the love and attention she is given. Ginger arrived ready to pop with puppies and needed an emergency c-section. Her puppies are doing very well and while she tolerates being a momma. She dreams of the time when the puppies don't need her so she can get on with her life and find a wonderful, adoring familly If you have a big heart and are looking for an affectionate, small/medium female to join your house and make you forget what you did before she came to live with you, Ginger is your girl. She is the apple of her foster mom's eye and if you ask, she'll tell you why. Ginger will be ready to go to her new home once her puppies are 8 weeks old and no longer need her. (mid/late November)

Scrappy is a bubbly dancing fool who’s a constant source of entertainment. Who would believe he lived through the trauma of Hurricane Katrina, he is footloose and fancy free! This agile boy has an in-born talent to perform tricks, and he’s thrilled to have someone egg him on. He can walk on his hind legs, and catch the toys he tosses into the air. When not amusing himself and others, Scrappy is a cuddly and affectionate love who’s delighted to find a warm lap to rest in. This outgoing and easygoing pupster is a friend to all dogs and a gentle companion to his feline friends. Scrappy-Doo would blend in well with an active family who secretly yearns to have a movie star in the gang! Scrappy-Doo is vaccinated, neutered and housetrained.

Zena is about the cutest little girl around.She loves attention and when you pick her up she covers your face in puppy kisses. She came from a litter of 10, but she was the smallest. Even at 10 weeks old she is still tiny compared to her siblings. We joke around and say that she is a Shepherd/Chihuauha mix. She will be a small girl, probably around 25 lbs. She loves to play with her brother and then lie at your feet while you watch tv. She will make someone a great companion. Zena has had age appropriate shots and has been dewormed.

Sasha is a little angel. She is sweet, affectionate, playful, and well-behaved. She gets along well with other pets, and would probably do nicely with older calm children. Sasha has been spayed, and is up to date on all vetting.

Cloe is a very adorable, loving american eskimo dog mix who totally wins the "cute puppy" prize. She loves to play play play between naps, of course. She about 4 months old and only 11 lbs so we guess she will be about 25-40 lbs when she is full grown. She appears to be a low-shedding breed mix. She is looking for a home where her owners will take time to love and train her through all the stages of puppyhood ahead of her. She is learning her housebreaking skills, but will need supervision to get them down pat. A home with young children would probably not be the best one for her.

Joey is more fun than a barrel of monkeys! He is sweet, confident, loves people, gets along well with other pets, and is just a joy to have around. Joey has been neutered, is on heartworm prevention, and is up to date on all vetting.

Possum got his name because he did look like a little possum when he was 6 weeks old. Of course, he is much cuter than a possum. He loves playing with his sister and exploring everything in his puppy yard. He is quite curious about bugs. This is one sweet fellow! Come visit him and see for yourself. Possum has had age appropriate shots and has been dewormed.

It didn't take Mindy long to become accustomed to all the creature comforts of living inside her foster home after having been kept outside alone in a small pen. She loves people and is eternally grateful for any attention she is given. Mindy is a world-class snuggler and a great little bed partner. She is housetrained, and gets along well with other pets. Mindy has been spayed, is up-to-date on all vetting, and is on monthly heartworm prevention. She is ready and waiting to become someone's very special companion and best buddy.
